My first “foray” into web design, this is a static site created using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and CSS Grid. Interestingly enough, it was also my playground for learning some basic techniques in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Far easier to make than my first website, but that’s only when I took a step back and really took the time to think through the design. I’ve understand now that learning to code is a delicate combination of getting those smaller details correct, but also looking at the larger picture in terms of overall site design.

The concept for this website quickly came alive once I spotted this logo on Canva. In addition to writing the copy for this site (and coming up with some fun blog posts showcasing some of my own ‘home decorating’ tips!) I also got the chance to pick up some awesome skills through an online course I was taking at the time. I am committed to learning new concepts in web design that will both impress and inspire!
