My journey into coding began when making a guidebook for newcomers to my community. What started out as a many-paged document in PowerPoint quickly turned into a project using Publisher, which eventually found <em>itself</em> turning into an ebook… it was while trying to convert my file to an epub document that I first saw a strange combo of letters and symbols that I ultimately learned was HTML – the markup language which consists of the text that we read on websites.
